HTHGS: Sex pills (written by Yvonne Fulbright, MS.Ed)

Ask Yvonne,
I was wondering if you allow me to ask you some questions. I would appreciate very much if you mail me the answers...

I am married and 31yrs old.

1. Are there any side effects when using an erection prolong gel / spray which contain Benzcoid such as MANDELAY? Are they FDA approved? Which product, if any do you recommend men use to help them last longer?

2.  Is it unhealthy for a man to swallow his woman's vaginal fluid if she does not have a sexually transmitted infection?

3. How effective are sex boost pills? Do they have any side effects? Thank you SAM

Dear Sam,
If you have questions or safety concerns on any products that claim to prolong erection or “sex boosting” pills, it would be best to contact the FDA directly:

1.888.INFO.FDA  or www.fda.gov  or www.fda.gov/medwatch

Other than the much-acclaimed Viagra, most products making such promises do not live up to a buyer’s expectations.  If they do work, it’s usually for psychological reasons (the person thinking that the product is working, thus results are seen), and not because of the product itself.

With regard to your second question, if a woman has tested negative for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, then there shouldn’t be any risk in acquiring an infection from swallowing her vaginal fluid.  I must warn, however, that despite some STI tests having negative results, some people can carry a viral infection and never never test positive for it nor display symptoms.   Our Philosophy sex is like dancing, it changes every time. It depends on culture, atmosphere and mood. Sometimes it is done alone, with a partner or in a group. It can be fast and hard or slow and soft. Sex is a combination of non-verbal negotiation and verbal cues: a scream, a twitch of the toes, or a flush of the face. There is no one 'right' way to move, only what feels good to all those involved.
