Doggy style
How To Have Good Sex, Inc.

HTHGS: Painful intercourse (written by Shan & Claude)

Ask Shan & Claude,
When I have sex, it is usually all pleasure, except when I go doggy style. Sometimes, it is good, but sometimes it hurts a lot, and it feels like my boyfriend is hitting something that is bruised. What could that be, is it normal?

Dear bruised,
We are not sure where he is hitting that may be bruised.  We assume his penis may be hitting your cervix.  Or is it something outside your body that hurts?  If it is inside he may be thrusting too deeply and hitting the opening of your uterus (the cervix).  This is actually something to watch out for because research has shown that this may contribute to some types of cancer or greater susceptibility to STI’s later in life.  If he is in too deep try a different position like you on top where you can control the depth better. Shan & Claude

Our Philosophy sex is like dancing, it changes every time. It depends on culture, atmosphere and mood. Sometimes it is done alone, with a partner or in a group. It can be fast and hard or slow and soft. Sex is a combination of non-verbal negotiation and verbal cues: a scream, a twitch of the toes, or a flush of the face. There is no one 'right' way to move, only what feels good to all those involved.
